Cruisin' Around Town with Ronnie Setser
Best of the Best
May 2004
Bill and Jackie Gaskins' 1934 Ford Cabriolet I sold my sailboat in 2001 and was going to build either a kit
airplane or a street rod. My lovely wife of 43 years, Jackie, nixed the air plane
but thought it would be a great to build the car. In January of 2002, I
bought a street beast body and frame and did all of the work on the car, except the interior, which is by "Stitches of St. Pete". The engine
was built at my best buddie's, Joe's Engine Service. It is a 369 CID small
block Ford with all the best pieces inside and out, along with nitrous.
There is a 2500 stall converter to a Ford AOB to a 390 gear in a narrowed Ford rear end with four wheel disc's and fourteen inch M/Ts.
I first drove the car in November, 2003 and won "Best of Show" in its first appearance. My wife and four grandkids and my biggest fans.
